about

"Fucking hell",he says."You could've made an effort to talk to my friends".And he leaves the room.I did try. There with the North Sea at my back.Did really try.But it wasn't enough. And there are so many friends, acquaintances, collaborators and admirers.Sat around kitchen tables.Drinking tea and trying to make sense of the senseless.Trying to drag themselves beyond the shock.Unable to imagine his absence in the world.Travelling south into the heart of tragedy-into the confines of grief.

lyrics

Gone to Roker bay
Trying hard to find the words
I always fall short
You're ashamed of who I am
How could I compete with you?

All those boys in bloom
Sat around in disbelief
Travel many miles
Walking on this foreign soil
Sobbing underneath the stairs
